Luke and Madison bought an old house in a small village last year. In the beginning, the house was very dark and the garden was messy. The windows were broken, and the walls were a strange green color. They were nervous but excited about the project.
Luke y Madison compraron una casa antigua en un pequeño pueblo el año pasado. Al principio, la casa estaba muy oscura y el jardín estaba desordenado. Las ventanas estaban rotas y las paredes eran de un extraño color verde. Ellos estaban nerviosos pero emocionados por el proyecto.
In January, they started the work. Luke painted the kitchen and the living room, while Madison cleaned the wooden floors. They worked very hard every weekend. They didn’t hire a professional team because the price was too high. They fixed the doors and bought new furniture for the bedrooms.
En enero, empezaron el trabajo. Luke pintó la cocina y la sala, mientras Madison limpió los pisos de madera. Trabajaron muy duro todos los fines de semana. However, they didn’t finish everything on time. The bathroom wasn’t ready in March, so they waited another month. Finally, in May, the house was beautiful and bright. They invited their neighbors for dinner and cooked a special meal. The neighbors were very kind and brought a beautiful plant for the garden. Luke and Madison were exhausted, but they didn’t regret their decision. Now, they are very happy in their new home.
